LCAR Names 2014 Realtor of the Year
At the August 6, 2014 After Hours event, The Livingston County Association of REALTORS® named Marianne McCreary the 2014 REALTOR® of the Year. Marianne is the Associate Broker/Owner of Partners Real Estate Professionals in Howell. She became a full time licensed agent in 1988 and holds E-Pro, SFR and SRES designations. She participates on the governmental affairs, affiliate, education and nominating committees and is the chairperson of the Annual Golf Outing and Holiday Gala events. She has been a LCAR director for 5 years and is serving as the 2014 President of LCAR.
McCreary is devoted to the professionalism of the REALTOR® industry and is an advocate for private property rights. She attends the Michigan REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® conventions and is a contributor to the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC).
McCreary’s community involvement includes being a member of the Genoa Township Zoning Board of Appeals, the Business Referral Group and the Chamber of Commerce Holistic Group. She attends 242 church and is a contributor to Gleaners Community Food Bank.
McCreary and her husband Bill, have 3 grown children and reside in the Brighton area.
The REALTOR® of the Year is chosen based on the following criteria: The REALTOR® Organization, The Real Estate Profession and Community involvement.
LCAR also presented the 2014 Volunteer of the Year award to Scott Bohlen. Scott is an Associate Broker of Preview Properties in Brighton. He has been a REALTOR® for over 10 years and holds designations in SRES, CROR, CPIX. He is a past President of LCAR and a current Director. He has volunteered many hours on behalf of the association and Realcomp II LTD as the chairperson of the shareholder taskforce. He is a participant in the annual golf outing and attends many LCAR programs and events.
The 2014 Affiliate of the Year award was presented to Zachary Bux of First American Title Insurance Company. He is responsible for business development in Livingston County. He has been a member of LCAR Livingston County Association of REALTORS® for 4 years and currently serves as the Chairperson of the Affiliate committee. He is a member of the Education, Governmental Affairs and Golf Outing committees.
